The son of a pastor and missionary, Nathan spent his early years in homes ranging from an Appalachian mining town to Northeastern Nigeria, eventually settling long-term in Chocolatetown, USA: Hershey, Pennsylvania. Nathan also ventured vocationally through the fields of law enforcement and ministry, before becoming a stay-at-home dad in 2009. Nathan lives with his wife and four sons, filling the rest of his time in various ministry and academic efforts.
Nathan serves The Third Cohort by providing strategic and organizational guidance, while also writing in the the fields of biblical and disability theology. Nathan enjoys reading broadly, finding points of connection and illumination between seemingly unrelated points of view. Currently, his major writing project is a dissertation exploring how persons with disabilities fit into the systems and concepts of holiness presented in the biblical texts.
When he is not engaged in family activities and writing projects, Nathan enjoys bicycling (road and mountain), motorsports (spectating with occasional adventures in participation), and reading in the areas of biography, history, and strategic thought. He believes he best exemplifies God's long-suffering love in his continued support of the Philadelphia Phillies.
